COMMUNITY HEALTH
CPACS strives to provide primary and preventative health services in a culturally sensitive and language appropriate manner through health care services, health promotion and education, and support services.
COUNSELING
CPACS provides a variety of counseling services in both individual and group settings to prepare all to find compassion for oneself and others.
SOCIAL SERVICES
CPACS serves as an information and referral agency for issues of health, housing, medical, and financial services available to the Asian American community and beyond. Services include:
- Providing instruction and assistance to immigrant and refugee families in accessing federal/state/local-funded programs (e.g., Food Stamps, Medicaid, WIC, energy assistance, low-income housing, childcare assistance) and community services
- Assisting clients with information and referrals based on client’s needs
- Assistance in application completion and follow-up services
- Relationship-building with immigrant and refugee networks and community members through outreach activities
SENIOR SERVICES
The Senior Program at CPACS provides a range of services that is aimed at maximizing independence and the quality of life for the Asian American senior adult population in the state of Georgia. Our holistic approach provides services and programs to seniors by promoting health and nutrition, financial, social, and recreational wellbeing.
HOUSING COUNSELING
CPACS’s Housing Counseling Department provides housing counseling, education, information and referrals to stabilize neighborhoods, communities and families and prevent homelessness. We also provide educational classes for homebuyers and foreclosure prevention clients. Services include:
- Foreclosure prevention counseling
- Mortgage and loan modification fraud prevention
- Homeownership education and counseling
- Rental counseling (homeless at-risk)
- Homeless prevention counseling
LEGAL & IMMIGRATION
CPACS is committed to providing equal access to justice through legal services and education.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Conducting English as a Second Language (ESL) classes since the agency’s inception, CPACS now offers several other programs and courses. Our Community Education department facilitates learning opportunities to help people to help themselves and to raise the quality of life in communities.
CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILIES
CPACS provides a variety of educational programs and services to help youths and their families to be healthy, self-reliant and successful. Our youth program aims to improve the youth’s physical, academic and social needs.
RESEARCH
The Institute for Asian American Community Research is the first community-based Asian American research institute in the South. Keeping true to the CPACS vision and mission, the Institute for Asian American Community Research is committed to building stronger communities through quality research and dissemination of findings.
ADVOCACY
CPACS is committed to promoting and protecting human and civil rights. By collaborating with local and national organizations, we are able to advocate for individuals and the community as a whole.
