Social Adjustment Services

CPACS provides assistance to help refugees assimilate into their new lives in the US and to encourage self-reliance to the point where the individual and/or family can successfully handle similar situations independently.

Citizenship and Naturalization Preparation Services

CPACS provides assistance with...

  1. Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) application preparation and orientation to adjust and update INS status, and
  2. Naturalization/ Citizenship application preparation and instruction.

Refugee Youth Program

CPACS aims to help build a healthy, caring and responsible community by increasing youth academic achievement, increasing youths' internal assets (i.e., commitment to learning, caring for others, self-esteem, etc.) and reducing youth risk to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use through afterschool and youth leadership programs.

Information and Referral

Services include relationship building with refugee networks and community members through outreach activities to places where refugees reside and congregate; provide instruction and assistance to refugee families in accessing federal/state/local-funded programs (i.e., Food Stamps, Medicaid, WIC, energy assistance, low-income housing, childcare assistance, etc.) and community services; Assisting clients with information and referrals based on client’s needs; assistance in application completion; Maintain case files documenting process and outcomes
