CPACS Senior Wellness Program provides a range of services to maximize independence and enhance quality of life for the Asian American senior adult population in the state of Georgia. Our mission is to provide services and programs to seniors promoting health, nutritional, financial, social and recreational wellbeing.
Senior Wellness Adult Day Program CPACS Senior Wellness Adult Day program serves 150-200 seniors monthly. This program aims to provide Asian seniors with (1) increased opportunities to gather for fellowship and learning in a social environment and (2) increased knowledge of methods to promote health and prevent illness. Korean seniors come to CPACS every Tuesday, for approximately 4 hours. Vietnamese seniors attend every other Saturday morning and Chinese seniors go to the Chinese Senior Center bi-monthly. All seniors participate in activities that promote good health and wellbeing while interacting with others in a mentally and physically active environment. In-Home Care Services CPACS homemaker service offers in-home personal support for Asian elderly and handicapped adults. Trained homemakers provide a broad range of assistance including interpretation, routine household tasks and budgeting, aid with personal care, shopping and transportation to physician visits. Social Service Assistance CPACS serves as an information and referral agency for issues of health, housing, medical, and financial services available to the API senior community. Senior Housing/Rainbow Heights In January 2007, through HUD funding, CPACS opened Rainbow Heights, the first senior housing complex for Asian Americans in Georgia. It contains 53 units and has an extensive waiting list. This year the seniors have planted and maintained an organic garden which now provides meals for Senior Wellness Program.
