Job Title: Project Coordinator
Hours: Full-time salaried position. Some evenings and weekends required.
Compensation: Dependent upon qualifications
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

The Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and deliver culturally competent and comprehensive social and health services to counteract issues faced by immigrants, refugees and racial-ethnic minorities. 

Job Description:  Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the work plan for the Georgia Asian Pacific Islander Community Coalition (GAAPICC) programs as well as health promotion efforts at the agency.

Major Responsibilities:
•  Manage and enhance the development and implementation of Coalition activities which includes advocacy trainings, community navigator program and community education events.
•  Conduct outreach to the community as it relates to identifying the needs of the community and developing information, workshops and other educational programs that respond to those needs.
•  Identify community resources, organizations, grants and other program opportunities related to services that would further CPACS and GAAPICC’s mission.  This includes seeking additional funding sources, topic research and preparing grants or other funding requests.
•  Represent agency at meetings with external agencies in order to expand collaboration, broaden community partnerships, and increase awareness of GAAPICC to the Asian American community.
•  Execute health initiatives that include but not limited to hepatitis B and tobacco prevention.
•  Responsible for compiling statistics and other information for monthly reporting.
•  Participate in CPACS projects (i.e. community outreach/education and event planning).
•  Advocate for equal rights for immigrant/ refugees on an individual, community and systems level.  
•  Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:
•  BA or BS in Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Education or related field
•  Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
•  Ability to self-motivate, initiate project activities, and manage multiple tasks
•  Experience in planning and organizing groups, councils, and committees
•  Demonstrated ability to work effectively and creatively as part of interdisciplinary team and will work to help grow the programs.
•  Fluency in word processing, PowerPoint, Internet, Database, and spreadsheet operations

Recommended:
•  Budget and Financial experience
•  Fluency in English and Asian & Pacific Islander (A&PI) Language
•  Experience in working with A&PI community
